I asked her some questions:
1. What is a typical day for your kids, if there is one?------Mornings
offer a quiet time with inside play and activities until 9 or 9:30.
Depending on the weather we spend most days playing outside where we
have a large fenced in yard with bikes and ride on cars, along with
digging and building and general back yard fun.
2. What is your advice for rainy day activities?-----Arts and crafts,
baking, and sometimes movie days when children bring there favorite
movies from home to share.
3. How long have you been running a daycare?---------I have been
licensed in Marin for 20 years
4. What are some questions parents should ask when finding a new
daycare?------ My philosophy is kids need to be kids, learning how to
share, and say please and thank you are so important. Being nice seems
to get lost in this day and age and I try to provide a environment
where children are safe and loved and can learn, it's OK to be yourself.
While structure is important children in my care are encouraged to
become individuals. No two days are ever the same.
5. What is your favorite part about running a daycare? Hands down the
Thank you, Dawn! - Stephanie
